Friendships play an important role in everyone’s life.  Man is a social being. He cannot live alone. In the battle of life man needs the help of others. Man therefore needs friends. Friendship means a close-relationship with other people of the society. 

Spending time with friends can be good for a person’s health and nervous system. Relaxing after a hard working day and discussing all the good and bad events with friends has similar effects as a visit to a professional psychotherapist. 

Friendship is necessary for the successful well being of every person. Because we are not self-sufficient ourselves.

How formed: 

Friendship is formed through sincere and mutual love of one man towards another. One may be a friend to another only through selfless sacrifice. 

The relationship between friends is totally based on understanding and loyalty. Understanding and loyalty make friendship stronger. 

Long term friends are those who have been the most dependable, and friends who you have ideally created the most memories with. 

These types of friendships have various benefits and include lifelong experiences.

True friend: 

A true friend is blessing. He is a real boon in life. But now-a-days it is difficult to find a true friend. True friends are those who stand by their friends in weal and woe. One can rely on a true friend. Love of a true friend is always selfless. 

He wants no return for his service done to his friend. It is said that “a friend in need is a friend in deed”. A true friend is an asset. 

True friendship is based on loyalty & support. The eight key qualities you must demonstrate are: priority, self-disclosure, touch, affection, loyalty, independence, acceptance, and willingness to change.

False friend:

False are compared to winds. They come in times of prosperity and leave in times of adversity.

A false friend is not a friend. It is dangerous to believe a false friend. Such a friend stays with us as long as we are well off. 

A false friend should never be trusted. He may lead us to wrong path.

Experience of good friends:

I have a faithful friend. Once I fell in great distress. One night my mother fell ill. The night was dark. There was nobody to call in a doctor from the hospital five miles away. My friends took a bicycle rushed to the hospital and almost dragged the doctor. My mother was however saved, who would have died, if the doctor did not arrive in time.

Good friends encourage their friends to lead more healthy lifestyles; Good friends encourage their friends to seek help and access services, when needed; Good friend enhance their friend’s coping skills in dealing with illness and other health problems.



The benefit of healthy friendship remains long-life. The selection of a true friend is also a challenging task. We have to carefully make our friend selection. Friends might come & go. They will make you laugh & cry.  

It is quite difficult to judge men from their outward appearance. We should be very careful in choosing a true friend. Friends also play a significant role in promoting your overall health. 

Adults with strong social support have a reduced risk of many significant health problems, including depression, high blood pressure. 

Friendship is a lovely relation without which our life becomes dull. They become big support for any help needed.
